HR COORDINATOR – MATERNITY LEAVE CONTRACT

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will work closely with the Human Resources Manager, providing support and assisting with tasks including, but not limited to:

  • Recruitment and selection (posting, screening, interviewing, testing, reference checking, etc)
  • Employee attraction, retention, and engagement
  • Involvement in, and implementation of, staff events
  • Administrative assistance
  • Involvement in orientations, on-boarding, and benefits enrollment 
  • Health & Safety, HR tracking and reporting, and other HR-related activities as needed

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This is a full-time temporary position (Mon-Fri) based out of our office in Burnaby, BC. It is a maternity leave contract starting in April and continuing until late-Fall. 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPECTATIONS: 

  • Training and/or experience in Human Resources is required (HR related courses or diploma is an asset)
  • Demonstrated skills in recruiting; including sourcing, screening, and interviewing
  • Strong clerical and administrative skills
  • Up-to-date office and computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Internet and Social Media skills)
  • Excellent written and spoken English; well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, using self-initiative and good judgement
  • Experience and enthusiasm with event planning, and interest in natural and organic foods are assets
